Equity Matters
Immigrants often feel more isolated than other groups. They may face problems like not knowing the language and facing discrimination. Additionally, they may have trouble finding jobs and services that fit their culture. They can also feel socially insecure. []All these problems can make them feel even more isolated and can be bad for their health. This can be even harder for immigrants without legal papers, especially if they are separated from their families. These problems can lead to serious health issues. These include post- traumatic stress disorder, depression, and behavior disorders.[]
