Equity Matters
In the retail and service industries, employers often schedule workers in a way that’s hard to predict. This can lead to workers getting either too few or too many hours each week. This kind of uncertain schedule can cause stress and affect a worker’s overall health and well-being. [] Also, these industries often continue racial and gender inequalities because of discriminatory practices.[,]
