The Social Environment and Health
The social environment is made up of different parts that impact someone’s health and happiness. This includes who a person is, their background, and what they believe in. It’s about how people interact with each other. It’s about the relationships they have with friends, family, the people they work with, and their bosses. It also looks at how well a person fits into and connects with their community and the bigger values and rules of society. The social environment is a fundamental social determinant of health. Improving your community’s social environment can improve health, such as the following:[,,]
