Equity Matters
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) can affect people of any gender in any relationship. Most research on IPV’s impact on employment focuses on women in heterosexual relationships. Nevertheless, studies show that LGBTQIA+ people are at high risk and transgender people are at very high risk of IPV. Additionally, because of social factors (such as shame), many cisgender heterosexual men do not seek help for this type of violence.[]
