Preparedness Matters
Some communities are more likely to experience negative health outcomes from a public health hazard[]. The Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) is a useful tool for identifying and supporting communities that may be at highest risk[]. It is important for emergency planners and local health leaders to be aware of the SVI for their community.
