History Matters
The 2002 No Child Left Behind Act contains zero-tolerance policies aimed at removing violent students. However, some schools now search lockers and use metal detectors and surveillance cameras.[] These practices can lead to worse educational outcomes and make youth feel like suspects rather than students.[]
